So you are wondering how Flaky McFlaker and my date went, eh? Alright, well contrary to popular April Fooling around, it actually did happen (the date that is!).

We ordered a drink each and I guess he liked me enough to feed me a little bit o’ susheeeeee. The convo was good, we talked careers a bit. He had a cute face, total jockster. I mean it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t love at first sight either. From our discussions, I could see him moving to the mountains, growing a beard and raising 5 boys who each beat eachother up on the ice rink…LOL.

Time to order a second glass of white wine…which eh, two is too many so I drink the second glass slowly when I’m confronted with such situations. There wasn’t any physical stuff going on between us. I guess it just depends on who the person is and the connection. As I became buzzed I started to think of other guys…bad bad bad SOD!  Anyway, we were there about 3 hours at which point he helped me get a cab in the torrential downpour. There was no good night kiss and as I said, well let’s be in touch he was like ok, then we hugged and he turned and….that was that. Not sure if he will be in touch…but whatever, honestly I don’t invest too much of myself these days, just try and be respectful, ya know even if he is ugly, a jerk/douche, etc etc etc. Mostly I don’t try to get too into it on a first date, because its A FIRST DATE and because I think it’s not healthy to. If you really reallllllllllllllllly like someone then I guess it’s different, so I guess I’m not sure if I like him? No harm no foul. I did kiss BlueEyes on the first date.

I can tell you this much, SOD is very very into meeting new people these days. It’s painful in a lot of ways to see so many happy people in relationships, my girlfriends and people I see when I am out in general. I know it’s stupid to base happiness on being with someone, but I truly believe that if you are with someone that makes you smile, aside from your gf’s etc, it makes life so much more fun to have someone to share your everything with! Only speaking from experience of course…sigh.

Hopefully we’re doing a meeting during the day and not anything after work but I can’t say for sure. I’m waiting for someone else to give me details. If you want to make other plans I understand and we can re-schedule for next week. But if you’re cool with waiting until tomorrow I’ll let you know as soon as I find out. I just don’t want to leave you hanging.

I’m sorry, but he’s SOOOO Flaky!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t deal and what’s up with the “THANKS.” Thanks for what? I mean I’m not making other plans because those plans are made, all about me which is totally cool because I’d rather have a night to myself. But like, seriously did he just email that? I have no desire to be “backup” planned in life. I mean I know stuff comes up. But the kid got my email three months ago! Hmmm what to say, what to say…

April Fools

Flake McFlacker has officially made plans…on April Fools Day no less.

So heres what I found comical in his response to finalize the plans “at 7:30 for drinks and maybe dinner”

Drinks and MAYBE dinner. Ok, so here’s my question. Is it me or is it insanely annoying when you have to meet a guy for a drink and maaaaaaybe dinner at 7:30pm when you are coming straight from your office. Like oh if you think I’m worth it then we can actually feed me something other than alcohol? Don’t worry I’m not really reading into this too much, more from a comidial perspective here, but regardless…

I have varied thoughts on after work drinks. Mostly because I think guys can be super lame about it all. It comes down to the question, who pays, blah blah blah. Just I don’t like drinking hungry and then if it drags on its like please shoot me right here!!! RIGHT NOW! Right?

I’m feeling a tad female douche-ish today. So first things first, obviously Flaky McFlaker hasn’t written back to my response (yep, I wrote him (thanks for the feedback) saying I’d be game for a date since, ya know now I can be his backup).

Second and the real reason for this post…

When some unfortunate errrrrrrrrrrr crap happened to me a little over a month ago, I informed BlueEyes. Still not sure why, but anyway, I wrote him the cutest note…as per usual. He wrote me back the sweetest message too! UGH, why is he so un-fucking perfect!

So in the note to him, I referenced that he had helped me on a legal document and I owed him for the help. Ya, hello female douche here. You never owe a guy!!! EVER!!! Now now getting back to the “help,” let’s not assume that BlueEyes is a Jewish Attorney and all…because that would be a new demographic guy for Shineondiamond LOL. So, in this note, I said I’d bake him some gingerbread men (yes, thank you to Ms.SaucyWentz for her dirty link I sent him) or choc chip cookies and then said something like ”maybe I should aspire to being a pastry chef!” Well his note back said if I ever needed someone to practice on, I “know how to reach [me] him!”

So, I’m INSANELY busy these days and he’s NOT deserving yes yes yes! BUT last night sitting home in the rain, as I listened to this Jazmine Sullivan song, relevancy=kinda, I decided to make our family recipe of Chocolate Chip Banana Bread which is retardedly amazing (just ask anyone I’ve ever made it for). Actually, I think I’m a really freaking good baker (I should open a bakery LOL) though I’m too conscious of being fat, so I’m not sure how that would work…

Alright, POINT OF STORY: ‘Tootz’ aka Shineondiamond made the CC Banana Bread and what’s worse is I then, listening to the song on the computer, logged onto FB saw he had a new profile pic which was insanely cute and sent him a note that he should ‘expect the masterpiece with his doorman tomo;) PDT.” (PLEASE DON’T TELL!) OY OY OY…OYYYYYYYYYY!

Of course, then I didn’t sleep…because I’m an idiot and was criticizing myself for being stupid. So yes, Shineondiamond should rename herself today to douchediamond….meeeeh!

So an acquaintance of mine, Mrs. Random, out of the blue emailed me in January that she and her husband had a friend they wanted to set me up with. Ooooooooook, thanks for the note out of no where, REALLY:) But like…hello Mrs. Random!

Four weeks pass and Mrs. Random emails after no further communication that she gave her hubby’s friend, FlakyMcFlaker, my email address. Note to self: I’ve since decided that Random and Flaky are synonymous.

Where are we Feb 1? Ok? Flaky McFlaker has now emailed me…March 16. He’s been busy!  So not to be too critical he signs his intro email:

I donno that’s just weird. Hi, let’s meet. Thanks, Shineondiamond. Well as well as we all know Flake’s, FlakyMcFlaker still hasn’t gotten his shiznit together. SHOCKAH! I guess since I’m busy the one night in the next two weeks he suggested, it won’t work. I mean he hasn’t emailed back and that was five days ago…flake on McFlaker, you sure know how to start off on the right foot. Who am I kidding though really, I’ll probably get a RANDOM note soon.
