Ya, hamburger, as in red meat…I’m not the biggest fan and when I am, rarely, it has to be done…as in well done. Anyway, fast forward to the meat of the story…hardy har har.
So my parents are coming in a few weeks, conveniently over the Jewish Holiday Passover-ie. the time Jews don’t eat bread or anything leavened with yeast. Well so, my dad decides that he wants to eat at a hamburger spot I had mentioned because our family friends wanted to eat there. So my dad as to be rudely expected made a reservation there the ONE night we aren’t with the family friends and told me “bring a guest!” Note to readers: My dad is an only child.
1. None of my girl friends really eat hamburgers (I barely do for goodness sakes!)
2. It’s during Passover (so you can’t eat the bread of the bun) that’s a good thing I know but also makes me look silly!
3. It’s a Friday night…
Ok, so now I need more excuses as to why there is NO one guy for me to invite. So, I saw a few months back that Michhottie was a ‘Burger of the Month’ fan on Facebook. Cool beans! Well anyway, I am HIGHLY HIGHLY hesitant to ask a guy to go to dinner let alone come with me and my parents. GHASP! I was thinking of texting MH and being like “Have you ever heard of XYZ Burgers?” Then depending on his answer say “If you’d like to try it, I’m going in a few weeks, you should come!” based on his answer then finally say, “just have to let you know my parents are in town so if they join it’s free, i hope that’s ok by you, it’s totally laid-back!”
Ya ummmm…not happening, right? No to mention risking SOD’s dad making some stupid comment….OY VEY! HELP!
